Bryan Smith, CEO

Bryan Smith is the manager of Centrol Crop Consulting. He grew up on a farm near Chandler, MN and began working for Centrol in 1995. He is a graduate of South Dakota State University and holds a B.S. in Agronomy. Bryan is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and a Technical Service Provider (TSP). He and his wife, Debbie, have 3 children and reside near Balaton, MN. Bryan enjoys hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his family in his free time. He values the fact that every season and year is different, each bringing new challenges to overcome and learn from.

Josh Brusven began working with Centrol in 2006 as a scout and became a full-time employee in May of 2010. He was born in Olivia, MN and grew up in Hanley Falls, MN. Josh received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Southwest Minnesota State University and is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). Josh and his wife, Nicole, have 2 children and reside near Wood Lake, MN. He enjoys hunting, fishing, grilling, and playing softball in his spare time.

Katie Onken started working for Centrol in February of 2025. She grew up in Le Mars, Iowa. She graduated from Northwestern College where she played volleyball and studied mathematics and business administration. Katie and her husband, Matt, live in Marshall with their red lab, Hank. Katie enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing volleyball, golfing, cooking and baking.

Kia VanKeulen started with Centrol in December of 2024.  Kia grew up on a crop and hog farm outside of Bricelyn, MN.   She graduated from SMSU with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agribusiness Management with a concentration in Agricultural Finance.  Kia and her husband, Chase, live on a farm near Marshall. Kia enjoys walking her dog Dash & spending time with friends and family in her free time.

Lori Crowley started working for Centrol in August of 2021. She grew up in Minneota, MN and has a degree in Graphics/Computer Art and a Dental assisting degree. Prior to Centrol, Lori worked in different office roles in the business world and most recently the FSA office. Lori and her husband, Andy, live on a farm near Ghent, MN with their 4 children. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, playing volleyball, golfing, ice fishing and attending her kids activities.

Ben Prusa, Director of Precision Ag Technology

Ben Prusa began working for Centrol in February of 2013. He was born in Columbia, MO and grew up north of Ames, Iowa. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a B.S. and M.S. in Geography. His focus was on GIS, Remote Sensing, and GPS. Ben attended several trainings for on-farm GPS Equipment (Trimble, Case IH, Ag Leader and John Deere). Ben lives near Ames, Iowa and has 2 children. His hobby is fishing. Being on the cutting edge of Precision Ag Technology is an important part of Ben’s work with Centrol.

Jeremy Labat, Precision Ag Supervisor

Jeremy Labat started for Centrol in 2012 as an intern, became a full-time employee as a technician in 2014, and is now the Precision Ag Supervisor. He is a graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University where he met his wife, Maria. They live in Cottonwood, MN with their 2 sons. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and taking in sporting events.

Anthony interned for Centrol for 2 summers, was then hired full-time as a technician, and in 2018, switched roles to a Precision Ag Specialist. He grew up on a farm near Cottonwood, MN and received an Associate’s degree from Mitchell Technical College in Precision Ag Technology. Anthony lives in Cottonwood, MN and enjoys hunting, snowmobiling, and spending time with friends in his spare time.

Ian Olson, Environmental Services Manager

Ian Olson started working with Centrol in 2013. He grew up near Granite Falls, MN and attended the University of Minnesota – Morris where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. After college, Ian spent 2 years working as a technician for 2 soil and water conservation districts, where he worked primarily on wildlife and agricultural conservation programs. Ian is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and a Technical Service Provider (TSP). Ian and his wife, Kendall, live in Marshall, MN with their 2 children. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, playing softball, watching Nebraska Cornhusker football, and spending time with family.

Ben Trochlil started working for Centrol in April of 2017. He grew up near Danube, MN and graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato earning a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, with a minor in Plant Science and GIS. After college, Ben spent 2 years as a District Technician at the Renville County SWCD. He is a registered Technical Service Provider (TSP) through the NRCS for assistance with various Ag and conservation programs. Ben lives in Redwood Falls, MN with his wife, Susan and their daughter, Lyla. In his free time, Ben enjoys bow hunting, golfing, smoking a brisket or prime rib and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.

Austin Domeier started working with Centrol in June of 2022. He grew up in Appleton, MN. Austin has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a minor in Environmental Science from Southwest Minnesota State University as well as a Masters Degree in Biological Sciences with a Natural Resource Management Specialization from South Dakota State University. Prior to Centrol, he worked as a conservation intern at Lac qui Parle County SWCD where he helped with the native seeding program. In his spare time, Austin enjoys bow hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.

Blake Giles started working for Centrol in May of 2025.  He grew up in Balaton, MN.  Blake has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services with an Emphasis in Resource Management.  Prior to Centrol, he worked as a Conservation Technician for the Soil and Water Conservation District, and is also certified as a Subsurface Sewage Treatment System (SSTS) inspector for the state of Minnesota.  Blake and his wife, Kaitlyn have 2 children. When Blake is away from work, he enjoys spending time with family, golfing, hunting and fishing.  Blake is currently working in the Marshall office and will be transitioning to the Willmar area later this year.

Brooke Buysse began working for Centrol in 2020. She grew up on a small dairy farm in Lakefield, MN and attended Southwest Minnesota State University where she played volleyball and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. Prior to working for Centrol, she worked with feedlots and conservation programs at the county level and she is also a Subsurface Sewage Treatment Systems (SSTS) Inspector. Brooke and her husband, Nathan, live on a farm outside of Ghent, MN with their 3 children. When not working, Brooke can be found spending time with family, riding horse, visiting friends or traveling.

Brian Velde started with Centrol in September of 2006, working between Granite Falls and Marshall. After graduating from high school in Granite Falls, he majored in Agronomy and Ag Business at SDSU in Brookings, SD. He spent a year working on the East Coast for Aventis CropScience as a chemical representative. After that excellent experience, he came back home and worked as an agronomist at Cottonwood Co-op Oil Co. for 5 years. In his free time, he enjoys playing softball, golfing, farming, hunting and spending time with friends. He currently lives near Hanley Falls with his wife, Heather, and their 2 children.

Matt Weller has been with Centrol since 2004. He grew up on a dairy farm outside of Brooten, MN. Matt is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds a B.S. in Ag Industries and Marketing. He is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and a Technical Service Provider (TSP). Matt and his wife, MacKenzie, live near Marshall, MN with their 4 kids – Klayton, Brenden, Emry and Ava. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, golfing and outdoor activities.

Carrie Mercie started working at Centrol in January of 2023.  She grew up in Tracy, MN and attended SMSU for accounting and the U of Wisconsin for Executive Education courses.  Prior to Centrol Carrie worked in banking, Tax, Logistics and Freight Claims (CCP) along with being an Arbitrator for the Transportation Arbitration Board.  Carrie and her husband Mark have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.  Carrie loves to cook, go on nature walks with the dogs, go on four wheeler rides and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She finds that her career is very rewarding being able to help growers make the best decisions for their operations and getting to see it come to fruition.  She finds it exciting to work with such a great group of people who are focused on what is best for the grower.  “By far, the knowledge and Customer Service given to clients is First in Class.”

Ken Franzky, Agronomy Services Manager & Consultant

Ken Franzky joined Centrol in July of 2015. Prior to joining Centrol, Ken worked for 21 years in the agriculture industry with some time in ag retail and the majority spent in the seed industry. This experience has allowed him to develop sales, management and agronomy knowledge while working with teams and acres in parts of North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota. He is a proud alumni of the University of Minnesota and is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).  For the Centrol team, Ken manages technical agronomic training and competency standards for consultants, internal cross department education and training, in field diagnostic assistance, interactive product training with agricultural companies, and being a communication bridge with university and industry personnel.

On the personal side of life, Ken, along with his wife Bobbie, enjoys living in the rural Dawson, MN area.  Raising their crop of 4 kids together, they have been blessed to add 3 wonderful sons-in-law, plus 5 grandkids currently, and they embrace all the bountiful memories their family creates.  Other times you might find Ken volunteering, coaching, watching sports, and attending other various activities that family and friends are busy with related to school, church, and community!  Family weekends at the lake is always treasured time.  Ken’s only real hobby is sneaking off to his small quarter section farm to toil in the soil and environment.

Rick Ancel started with Centrol in December of 2020. He grew up in Savage, MN. Rick has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in Agricultural Industries and Marketing and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Agronomy through Iowa State. Rick and his wife, Kaitlin, live in Elko New Market, MN. In his spare time, Rick enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and any outdoor activities.

Cole Arceneau started with Centrol in 2016 as a sampler/scout. He then became a full-time Technician in May of 2019 and a Consultant in 2025. Cole grew up on his family dairy farm near Elrosa, MN.  Cole received his bachelor’s degree in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakata State University.  He lives near Greenwald with his family.  In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and helping do anything that needs to be done on the farm.

Kevin Banken started with Centrol in April of 1997. He grew up in Appleton, MN on a small family farm. Kevin is a South Dakota State University graduate and holds a Bachelor’s degree, as well as a Masters degree in Agronomy/Plant Science. He is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), a Technical Service Provider (TSP), and a Certified Nutrient Management Planner in South Dakota. He and his wife, Leanne, live in Brookings, SD. He has been a member of the Brookings Volunteer Fire Department since 2001. He is also active in his church and a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings.

Adam Deppe started with Centrol in December of 2015. He grew up in a small town south of Des Moines, IA, called Martensdale. After earning an Associate’s degree in Ag Business from Iowa Lakes Community College, he attended South Dakota State University and graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in Agronomy. He came to Centrol after having worked in retail ag as a sales agronomist for nearly 4.5 years around St. James, MN, where he resides today.

Brad Farrell started with Centrol in January of 2021 as a consultant in the Garretson, SD area. He grew up in northwest Iowa and graduated from SDSU with an Agronomy degree in 2011. He started his career as a sales agronomist in Garretson after internships with Extension, Rivers Edge Coop in Flandreau SD, and SDSU Plant Science. He lives with his family in Garretson, and enjoys reading, kayaking, golfing, or riding motorcycle in his spare time.

Blake Geistfeld started with Centrol in January 2025 as a consultant in the Cottonwood, MN area.  He grew up on a dairy and grain farm by Wood Lake.  Blake has been involved in the ag industry his whole life, most recently he was the manager of a Co-op for the past 6 years.  Blake comes to Centrol with a wide array of Ag knowledge.  Blake and his wife live in Cottonwood with their 4 children.  In his free time, Blake enjoys hunting, fishing with his kids, riding side by side with family and friends and hanging out with his family.

Alex lives in the Elbow Lake area with his wife, Mikayla, and their two daughters. In Alex’s free time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake.

Ed and his wife, Sarah, have 2 children. Ed enjoys hunting, fishing and following professional sports in his free time.

Justin Hamann interned as a summer scout from 2012-2014 in different locations throughout eastern South Dakota before joining Centrol full-time in January of 2015. Justin graduated from high school in Willmar, MN in 2009, and went on to obtain his B.S. in Agronomy from South Dakota State University. Justin and his wife, Alyssa, live in Brookings, SD with their sons. He enjoys hunting and fishing in his free time.

Caleb Hanson started with Centrol as a crop scout intern in 2011 before being hired as a full-time agronomic consultant in 2014. He grew up in Raymond, MN, and graduated in 2014 from University of Wisconsin, River Falls with a bachelors degree in Agricultural Business and a Crops minor. He is also a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and a member of the NAICC. Caleb lives on his family farm just outside of Raymond, MN with his wife, Kimberly and their two children. He enjoys farming, college football, downhill skiing and an occasional round of golf.

Joel Harrison started with Centrol in 2014 as an intern and became a full-time employee in 2018. Dan Haubrich started with Centrol in the fall of 2011. He grew up on his family farm near Danube, MN. Dan graduated from South Dakota State University in 2009 with a B.S. Degree in Agronomy and a minor in Ag Business. After graduation, Dan worked as a retail agronomist in central South Dakota for 2.5 years to further his knowledge in the ag sector before coming back to Minnesota to join the Centrol team. He is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and was named the 2021 NAICC Consultant of the Year. Dan lives near Renville, MN with his wife, Abby, and their son. Dan enjoys hunting, fishing, riding motorcycle and spending time with family and friends.

He grew up on a farm near Milroy, MN and currently lives in Tracy, MN with his wife, Jamie, and their daughters. Kody graduated from South Dakota State University with a B.S. degree in Agronomy. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors with friends and family.

Dillon Kranz began working for Centrol as a Scout in 2017 and became a full time Consultant in October 2023.  He grew up near Watertown, South Dakota.  Dillon attended South Dakota State University where he obtained his B.S degree in Agronomy.  Dillon and his wife, Hannah live near Watertown, SD.  In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and hanging out with friends and family.

Parker started with Centrol in February of 2018 as a crop consultant in South Dakota. He graduated from SDSU in Brookings, SD with a degree in Ag Systems Technology in December of 2015 and is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). Parker lives in Aurora, SD with his wife, Heidi, and their son. In his spare time, Parker enjoys hunting, fishing, anything outdoors and socializing with friends and family.

Will and his wife, Cassidy, live in Sioux Falls, SD. He enjoys being outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

Derek LeClair started with Centrol in March of 2010, covering the Traverse and Grant county areas. He grew up near Chokio, MN. Derek is a graduate of North Dakota State University and holds a B.S. in Plant Science with a minor in Agribusiness. He is also a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). Before joining Centrol, he worked as a sales agronomist at an agronomy retail location. Derek and his wife, Jolene, live in Alexandria, MN with their daughter, Mattea. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, softball and golf.

Travis Longhenry started with Centrol in 2021. He grew up on small farm by Porter, MN and graduated high school in Canby, MN. Travis is a graduate of SDSU where he obtained a major in Agronomy and minor in Ag Business. Travis and his wife, Chelsea, met at SDSU and have 2 beautiful daughters, Saylor and Halston. His family resides in Marshall, MN. Travis enjoys spending time with family, hunting, smoking meats, being outdoors and farming with his dad.

Kevin Louwagie grew up on a farm just outside of Cottonwood, MN and has always enjoyed being outdoors. He is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and a member of the NAICC. Kevin and his wife, Kalli, live near Cottonwood, MN, with their daughters. Keegan Meyer started working for Centrol in May of 2021 as a scouting intern, where he worked two seasons before joining the team as a technician in the spring of 2023. Keegan then started consulting full time in the spring of 2025. He grew up in Carver, MN and received his bachelor’s degree in Precision Agriculture with a minor in Agronomy from South Dakota State University in 2023. Keegan and his wife, Summer, live in Sioux Falls, SD. He enjoys hunting, fishing, days on the lake, yardwork, and spending time with family and friends in his free time.

Mark Moeller started with Centrol in 1988. He was raised on a farm in northwest Iowa. Mark attended Iowa State University and holds a B.S. in Agronomy. He is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and a Technical Service Provider (TSP). He and his wife, Tammy, have 3 children. In his spare time, Mark enjoys practicing the martial arts and holds a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He also enjoys most outdoor activities as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In his free time, Ross enjoys waterfowl hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.

Jeremy Wermers started as a full-time consultant in August of 2019. Jeremy grew up on a farm near Dimock, SD and graduated from Parkston High School in 2006. Jeremy then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Business, with a minor in Ag Marketing from South Dakota State University. Jeremy and his wife, Brandi, live in Parkston, SD with their 2 children – Braxton and Bristyl. In Jeremy’s free time, he enjoys being around family and friends, but also the farm, whether it is working with the crops and ground or doing something with the cattle or pigs. Jeremy and his wife own 2, 2,400-head swine nursery facilities located around the Dimock area, along with around 30 head of cattle. Taking his boy Braxton to the farm and letting him drive the side by side and tractors has really been a big joy of his, because that was the way he was brought up.

Darion Alexander, Technician

Darion Alexander began working for Centrol as a summer intern in 2022.  He then became a full-time technician in September 2023 for Shane Weller.  Darion grew up near Glenwood, MN on his family farm raising cattle and farming.  He graduated from Minnewaska Area high school and then went on to pursue his degree in Agriculture Industry and Technology from Bismark State University in Bismark, ND.  Darion enjoys hunting, fishing, being outdoors and hanging out with family and friends in his free time.  He likes being able to work outdoors most of the year and getting to meet and talk with farmers daily.  Darion sees the value in the Centrol team by the knowledge they share with each other, willingness to help and the large network they have full of resources to make the best decisions.  These things set Centrol apart from other companies and allows Centrol to excel in the agriculture industry.

Adam Becker, Technician

Adam Becker began working with Centrol in the winter of 2013 as a technician for Ed Gruenes. He grew up near Long Prairie, MN. Adam has an AAS degree in Agri-business from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN. Prior to joining the Centrol team, he spent 3 years working in ag retail. Although he didn’t grow up on a farm, he spent over 6 years employed on a dairy farm through college. Adam and his wife, Ashley, have two children and currently reside near Freeport, MN. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and spending time with his family. 

Kaitlyn Diederich, Technician

Kaitlyn Deiderich started working for Centrol as an intern in 2022 and became a full-time Technician in September 2024 for Karl Nesse.   Kaitlyn lives in Saint Bonifacius.  She attended Ridgewater in Willmar, MN and graduated with degrees in Agribusiness and Precision Ag.  While attending college, Kaitlyn competed in agronomy competitions at the state and National levels that were very successful for her.  Kaitlyn enjoys being outdoors, crocheting, embroidery and spending time with friends and family and most excitingly she recently got engaged.  Kaitlyn enjoys scouting fields in the summer and getting to know the growers. 

Lucas Doll, Technician

Lucas began working for Centrol in May, 2023 as a Technician for Matt Salentiny.  He grew up in St James, MN and graduated from Ridgewater Community College with an AgBusiness & Precision Ag AAS degrees and SDSU with a Major in Ag Science and a minor in Agronomy.  Lucas enjoys spending time with family, friends, hunting & fishing, camping, grilling and farming.  Lucas enjoys scouting fields because each one has it’s own challenges, he then assists in brainstorming what characteristics make them similar or different from fields close by or within the producers operation and what they could recommend to increase the growers ROI.  A value Lucas sees in Centrol is each Consultant learns from one another and uses each other’s experiences to their advantage when recommending options to producers. The pool of knowledge that Centrol employees possess, and the teamwork of every consultant is what sets Centrol apart from their competitors

Ruslan “RJ” Dykema, Technician

RJ began working with Centrol in 2017 as a summer soil sampler/crop scout before being hired full-time as a technician for Derek LeClair in May of 2022. He grew up in the Osakis, MN area and enjoyed his summer experiences with Centrol so much that he decided to pursue a career in agronomy. He received his Bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University in the Crop and Weed Science program in 2020. RJ also has experience on the retail side of the industry, working at co-op’s as well. In his spare time, he enjoys all the summer outdoor activities – everything from fishing, to biking or golfing.

Shay Endres, Technician

Shay Endres began working with Centrol in the summer of 2022 as a sampler/scout and transitioned into a full-time technician in the summer of 2025, working with Jake Schwendemann and Brent Werven.  Shay is originally from the Alexandria, MN area and holds a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU). In his free time, Shay can be found traveling, fishing, hunting, or at the ballpark.  He really enjoys being part of the Centrol team due to the company’s strong networking and commitment to providing unbiased, informed recommendations helps the growers make confident decisions that drive both efficiency and profitability.

Kellen Erdahl, Technician

Kellen Erdahl started working for Centrol in May of 2020 as a scouting intern and then became a full time Technician for Joel Harrison in May 2023.  He grew up in Morris, MN and graduated from SDSU with degrees in Agronomy and Precision Ag.  He enjoys spending time with family, golfing, hunting & fishing in his spare time.  Kellen likes being able to work independently and being on the go, there isn’t ever a boring time during scouting season. Kellen values the Centrol team because they are unbiased and provide recommendations that are truly best for the farmer. It is incredible how valuable the network within Centrol is, any question or problem that arises can be talked through with all of the consultants so there doesn’t have to be any guesswork in providing recommendations.

Evan Hegland, Technician

Evan Hegland started with Centrol in 2023 as a soil sampler and scout for Clint Schindler and Austin Magnuson and then became a full time Technician for Austin Magnuson in the spring of 2025.   Evan went to Lac Qui Parle Valley high school and then went on to attend North Dakota State University where he earned a degree in Precision Agriculture.  Evan’s hobbies include bowhunting, waterfowl/upland hunting, golfing, and fishing.  His favorite part of the job is working with the farmers to make the best possible decisions for their crops.  Evan truly enjoys that Centrol is set apart from other companies with a whole team that is willing to always help each other. 

Jackson Hughes, Technician

Jackson Hughes started working for Centrol in 2021 as a scout and sampler before joining Centrol full time as a company Technician and Scout for Tim Moline in May of 2024. He grew up in Marshall, MN and graduated from South Dakota State university with a degree in Agriculture Systems Technology. In his free time, Jackson enjoys being outdoors, hunting, snowmobiling, hiking and playing baseball. Jackson enjoys the independent work environment that Centrol provides, while also learning something new from other employees all the time.

Dylan Johnson, Technician

Dylan Johnson worked for Centrol as a soil sampler in the summers of 2016 and 2018 before joining Centrol full-time as a technician for Jason Fussy in August of 2018. He grew up on a farm near Clarkfield, MN and graduated from South Dakota State University in May of 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Ag Systems Technology. Dylan and his wife, Kelly, live in Clara City, MN. In his free time, Dylan enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Alex Klingaman, Technician

Alex Klingaman started working for Centrol in May 2019 as a scouting intern, where he worked two seasons underneath Kevin Banken and Grif Vlietstra, he started as a full-time Technician in March 2025 for Grif Vlietstra. Alex grew up in Mitchell, SD. Alex received a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from South Dakota State University in 2021. Alex and his wife, Sydney live in Sioux Falls, SD. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, sports, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends. Alex is looking forward to assisting farmers with unbiased recommendations and maximizing their profitability in their operations. He also is looking forward to having a large network of knowledge at Centrol.

Bensen Kuecker, Technician

Bensen Kuecker began working for Centrol in 2021. He worked as a soil sampling and crop scout intern in SW Minnesota before becoming a full-time Technician in May of 2025 for Parker Kretsch. He grew up in Marshall, MN and graduated from South Dakota State University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy and a minor in Precision Agriculture. Bensen lives in Brookings, SD and enjoys spending time with friends and family, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. “I feel that Centrol is very special in that it does not sell a product to growers, only their unbiased knowledge and services. I enjoy the opportunity to work directly with growers to help improve their return on investment!”

Kyle Lechner, Technician

Kyle Lechner began working for Centrol in 2023 as a Field scout and sampler and became a full-time technician in January 2024 for Justin Hamann.  Kyle grew up in Redwood Falls, MN.  He attended SDSU where he obtained his BS degree in Agronomy.  Kyle has 3 older siblings and enjoys hunting, golfing, and spending time with friends and family in his free time.  Kyle is looking forward to expanding his knowledge and facing the many challenges that each growing season brings. 

Andrew Mulso, Technician

Andrew Mulso started working for Centrol in 2019 as a soil sampling intern, then worked as a crop scout for three summers before joining Centrol full time as a technician for Nick Pieske in May of 2023. He grew up in Marshall, MN and graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2023 with a B.S. in Agricultural Sciences. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. One of his favorite things about Centrol is “The hands-on nature of the job and the fact that there is always something new to learn.” He enjoys helping each grower and being involved in the crop production process.  

Nathan Oberembt, Technician

Nathan Oberembt started working for Centrol in May of 2021 as a scout and then became a full-time Technician for Jeremy Wermers in January of 2023.  Nathan grew up near Parkston, SD on his family farm.  He graduated from Parkston high school and attended SDSU for Ag Science.  Nathan enjoys raising cattle, farming with his family and training his dog, Millie in his free time.  Nathan enjoys being able to work outdoors while helping local farmers maximize their potential all while having the flexibility to be able to farm with his family. 

Jace Paplow, Technician

   Jace Paplow began working for Centrol as a Field Scout in 2020 and became a full-time technician in January 2024 for Kody Kirsh.   Jace grew up on a farm near Westbrook, MN.  He attended SMSU in Marshall where he obtained his BS degree in Agronomy.  Jace enjoys hunting, fishing, farming and spending time with friends and family in his spare time.  Jace’s favorite thing about Centrol is “each day is different and there is always something new to learn.”

Mitchell Peltier, Technician

Mitchell Peltier joined Centrol in May 2025 as a Technician working with Dan Haubrich. He grew up on a farm near Cottonwood, MN, and later attended SMSU, where he earned degrees in Marketing and Agricultural Economics.  Mitchell enjoys fishing, golfing, farming, and spending time outdoors. He appreciates working at Centrol because it allows him to directly support farmers in making informed, sustainable decisions. His favorite part of the job is seeing how thoughtful recommendations can improve both yields and soil health over time.  “Centrol combines years of experience with a personalized approach, using its expertise to help each grower achieve greater success.”

Gavin Peterson, Technician

Gavin Peterson started working for Centrol in 2022 as a soil sampler & scout and then became a full-time Technician for Travis Longhenry in March of 2025.  Gavin grew up in Marshall, MN.  He graduated from Marshall high school and attended Lake Area Technical college where he earned his degree in Ag business.    Gavin enjoys fishing, hunting, reffing hockey and hanging out with family in his free time.  Gavin likes the wide knowledge of the Centrol team, with the ability to provide accurate, up to date information that helps to make important decisions for the growers and their operations.

Jackson Roll, Technician

Jackson Roll started working for Centrol in April 2019 as a scout for Randy Vancura before starting full time in September 2024. He grew up in Bingham Lake, Minnesota. He graduated from South Dakota State University where he obtained a B.S. in Agronomy. Jackson moved back to Bingham Lake to the family farm. He enjoys spending time at Fish Lake with family and friends, as well as golfing and attending pig shows. “Working for Centrol gives me a unique perspective that many don’t get to see. Every grower has a different philosophy when it comes to growing a high yielding crop, being able to see all the different methodologies and practices with progressive high yielding growers is what gives Centrol a competitive advantage.”

Nathan Seehafer, Technician

Nathan Seehafer began working for Centrol in May 2021 as a seasonal soil sampler and joined Centrol full-time as a technician for Travis Longhenry in May of 2022. He grew up in Winthrop, MN and graduated from SMSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy. Nathan lives in Marshall, MN and loves hunting ducks and geese in his free time. He also enjoys both ice fishing and summer fishing or anything he can do outdoors.

Carter Sneller, Technician

Carter Sneller began working for Centrol seasonally in 2020 as a soil sampler and then as a scout, he then joined Centrol full-time as a technician for Jake Sharkey in the fall of 2022.  He grew up on a farm near Hazel Run and raised pigs, Carter graduated from Lake Area Tech in Watertown, SD with and Agri Business degree.  Carter has two older sisters and enjoys hanging out with friends and family, working on the pig farm and playing as much softball as possible in the summer months.  The best part of his job is being able to learn something new almost every day and being on a staff that can help you with anything you may come across in the agricultural field and even beyond that.   “Centrol is a great company because of how every person may have a different expertise in some form of agricultural, so if you don’t know the answer someone else on staff probably does.”

Zach Stricherz, Technician

Zach Stricherz grew up in Waverly, SD where we attended Waverly South Shore High School and went on to attend South Dakota State University.  Zach started with Centrol in 2013 as a scout and then started full time in 2019 as a technician for Clint Schindler and Jeff Kranz.  Zach enjoys hunting and fishing in his free time and spending time with his wife and kids.  Zach enjoys working in a lot of different areas throughout the year while usually doing something different throughout the farming season.  He likes that Centrol is “there for the farmers, only to help and provide knowledge and information rather than selling a product.  I think it really sets us ahead of the competition knowing we are only there to do a job rather than push a project.”

Klayton Weller, Technician

Klayton Weller started working for Centrol in September of 2022 as a soil sampler & scout and then became a full-time Technician for Matt Weller in March of 2025.  Klayton grew up near Marshall, MN.  He graduated from Marshall high school and attended Lake Area Technical college where he earned his degree in Ag business.  Klayton enjoys hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors in his free time.  He enjoys working outdoors and interacting with the growers to provide them with valuable information, all while working with a large team of knowledgeable staff. 

Alex Willette, Technician

Alex Willette started with Centrol as a crop scout in May 2018.  He became a full-time technician in September of 2022 for Dave Opsahl.  Alex grew up on a family farm near Detroit Lakes, MN and graduated high school from Detroit Lakes.  Alex went on to attend NDSU where he obtained his B.S. in Crop and Weed science.  Alex enjoys hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and days at the lake in his free time. 

Cordell “CJ” Windschitl, Technician

CJ Windschitl started working with Centrol in 2019 as a technician for Chad Luze, before switching areas and becoming Randy Vancura’s technician in 2022. CJ grew up on a small farm south of Sleepy Eye, MN where his love of agriculture began. After high school he attained a degree in Agribusiness from South Central College and a degree in Agronomy from SDSU in 2016. Before starting with Centrol, CJ had worked in the research and retail portions of the ag industry and he is also a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). CJ and his wife, Kally, live in Trimont, MN. In his free time, CJ enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing and doing anything outdoors.

Jon Wyffels, Technician

Jon Wyffels started working for Centrol in May of 2018 as a soil sampler for 2 seasons and then as a crop scout for 2 seasons before joining Centrol full-time in May of 2022 as a technician for Chad Luze. He grew up on a farm north of Minneota and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from SMSU in the spring of 2022. Jon has 3 older brothers and enjoys farming, hunting, fishing and spending time at the lake with friends and family.
